You are the first person I have seen with that problem. Have you checked to make sure everything is tight, lined up correctly, and not bend or broke?

that happened to me a couple of times and i found that the wiring for my winch was holding up the seat from latching all the way. pull off the seat and make sure none of the wiring/relays are holding it up.

I took mine to the dealer with the same problem. I was pissed. I thought my seat was defective. He grabble the middle plastic catch and just pulled on it 'til it looked like it was back to normal. mine was prettey soft plastic, not brittle so I wasn't worried. That will do it. If your worried about breaking it , you could always use a heat gun.

Mine kept coming loose also ..... I lubed the latch shaft pivot points, and gave the latch spring one more wrap.

Has not come unlatched since

I haven't seen a 650 yet where the middle seat latch catches. I would be looking at the wiring holding the seat up causing it not to latch all the way, as jwkawi mentioned.

Just bend that middle catch down lower. BTW - this has happened to just about everyone.

No doubt reinstalling the P650 seat is an art within itself. I actually "bow" the seat in the center during installation and seems to be the trick to ensure the center "latch" engages correctly. I take one hand and press down hard in the center of the seat, while taking my other hand and sliding seat forward. Work "almost" everytime.
