Tell me if this would work...

NYROC, ALLTOYS, NOVAKAWI and the rest of you P650 tweakers....
Was out changing my front tires...man what a difference the front tires make...anyway went through checking stuff to insure things were good to go and it dawned on me that the snorkel practically bellied up to the little oval shaped removable plastic pieace in the front. Now do to riding conditions you just cant remove it and risk stuff shooting in there. So what if you come up with something to wear you had an outwear over that little oval shaped section instead of the plastic. The air would practically be forced down through the snorkel...faster you go the more air forced through...The outwear would keep elements out and water to some extent unless you plunged it...
Whats everyones thoughts here...is it a pretty lame-brain idea...i think it might work...any thoughts

Dust in the motor?through the air filter?dont think so.Bosox you could take off your whole front clip and it wouldnt get anything in the motor thats what the stock filter is for.give it a shot it might do something.I tried a "ram air"using my snorkles(2"pvc)and didnt notice any diff.later

You need more than just an open space to have a true "ram air" effect. The design of the snorkle will not let this happen to any noticeable degree. Also you need a fairly high speed for it to work even with the proper design.
