Default armordillo skidplate on 650 - anyone?

Hey everyone, I started to install my new armordillo skidplate today, and it turns out the instructions they sent with it are for the 300/400. Just wondering if anyone else out there hes this skidplate, and was it a pain in the a$$ to install? If anyone has a copy og the install instructions, could you send them to me? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don't have my original instructions, but I do recall that I went and bought some longer bolts for it. The bolts in the kit were impossibly short. If there is something with the install that's giving you a hard time, PM me.

Peace,

Sgt_Rock - Hoping to get install sheet from dealer tomorrow. How do you like the skid, does it seem to work well. I like the idea of the plastic being slippery, did you notice a difference? Hopefully I'll know for myself soon.

Just talked to the supplier, their shipper screwed up and sent the wrong install pack, he's airmailing the proper one out. Can't wait to see if this plate is as good as they say.

Any updates? I'm interested in these plates as well for my Grizz.

I got the full armadillo set for my KFX400. Not sure what the bottom of the 650 looks like, but my install kit came with those hex screws and these little hook deals that attached to the frame and tightened down with the screws.

They're all aluminum too and seemed to bend to tighten - but they all attach solid.

Wow, old thread. I was less than impressed with the Armordillo on the P650. this is mostly due to the design of the front end of the bike tho, the skid did not wrap up far enough, and the front edge kept catching and finally ripped right off. On a different bike, eg the Honda's, where the skid wraps several inches up the front of the bike, I'm sure it would work quite well. I've since gone to Ricochet, and couldn't be happier with it.

Wow.. Also.. This old thread.. I have a Armadillo skid plate on my 02 Prairie.. Still attached and working great! The only problem I had was one of the screww heads bent from hitting something on the trail. But I'll worry about that when I have to take it off. I think I still have a pic in my photos of when I put it on..
Cheers!
