Default EPI Clutch Weights

Has anyone tried the new clutch weights (or the entire kit) yet. I talked to EPI today - they had some good information. If you run stock sized tires and do sport style riding, they recommended the 56 gram weights, black secondary spring and either the stock primary or their new pink primary spring. The pink spring is nearly zero stall like the stocker but has progressively more tension than the stock. The pink spring won't be ready for a few weeks yet.
They said the weights will make a difference that you can both feel AND measure.
Let us know your results if you have tried them.

The weights alone are $125 (ouch!) and the Pro kit (two springs and the weights) is $199.

I looked into making some adjustable weights like we had talked on a post, I couldn't find weights that were cut on one side only. Most weights are cut on both sides, this doesn't allow room for the head of the bolt you would use when you added weight.

I have heard that Polaris weights, with the pin hole drilled out more, will work. I think 4 would be in the $50.00 range.

So, that setup should shift the power band lower? How heavy are the stock weights; did you notice?

With the pink spring I would guess you would lose some top end, no?

Might be a great setup for pulls.

I forget what my stock weights were, I think 60kg, the lighter weights, if in fact they are lighter than stock, will give you more RPM's.

For pulling I'm using 46 kg weights, to get my RPM's at 6500

Shouldn't lose any top end with pink spring, maybe gain a little. Maybe.

I haven't called EPI but I have been wondering just exactly what the 650 clutch kit contains.
So let me get this straight. I can buy the weights and two springs separately for 171$ or I can buy the kit which contains the weights and two springs for 199. Uhhhhhh? I saw it marked this way in the catalog also and figured there was either something else in the kit or it was misprint.
??????????????
