v-force hp?

Lets take two quads like you say and spend the same amount of money on each of them. You buy your raptor and we will take out Praire 650. We will spend $50-$100 on a homemade mod (which everyone will know about sometime, Alltoys knows the secret.) This little mod will increase our HP by about 15-20. Now spend that same amount of money on your raptor and you can only buy a K&N filter and jets, that will give you about 5 hp at best.
At this point the HP numbers are roughly: (at the crank)
P650 -- 60-65
Raptor -- 43-47
Weigh each one:
P650 -- 605
Raptor -- 398
LBS to HP ratio: (using average HP)
P650 -- 9.6
Raptor -- 8.8
Take a quick look at the P650 has a greater HP to weight ratio, if my calculations are correct and using estimated HP figures at the crank. Also take into account that we have 4x4 and don't have to shift or worry about a wheelie( as much.) This allows the P650 to holeshot much better and accelerate better.
So as you can see the raptor will not destroy the P650 with equal mods....the YZF450 will probably beat it though but costs alot more.
EDIT: My calculations are off, its lbs per HP. We still have the holeshot advantage though and no shifting and less wheelie and higher RPM.

Yes a raptor will beat the P650 stock but can be fixed by a simple cheap mod. Alltoys raced his P650 with his mod with 28" outlaws (about 40 lbs per tire) against a raptor with a pipe and jet, guess what.....they would race 10 or so races and exchange wins. Now take off those tires that add about 130 lbs to the quad over stock and you will soon be amazed.....think about it before you post. Think of the weight difference...think how they both exchanged wins.....think about the 28" outlaws.....think about the raptor with its pipe and jets and K&N that could not destroy the modded P650....a simple $50-$100 mod compared to the $500-$600 in mods the raptor had....please think before you reply.....then think of the V-700 with this mod and you will see the light.....don't let Yamaha blind you....don't let the raptor blind you....think and use common sense....the raptor can be beat by a lowly P650, nevermind a P700 or a V700.....
