Default v-force hp?

You are right on Thread, on my Dyno we had 37 Hp out of the box (going from memory, it was a couple of weeks ago)with some tunning we got 38-38.5 HP

There is really no such thing as a Dyno set up for Auto's. The only difference is you need to graph your torq and HP against mile/hour instead of engine RPM. this is because if the clutching is right, the engine will rev almost instantly to peak HP and stay there until shift out. My Dyno show's 37HP on a stock KFX700, same as every one else's that I've heard about.

With the way the V responds to a simple primary spring change, I'd say no way is the stock clutching shifting out at peak power. Until someone puts a tach on a V and dials the shiftout in perfectly, I can't see the number being correct.

Your right Kevin, if the clutching is not on with an auto, your numbers are useless. However the KFX700 clutching is very, very close to perfect stock. The engine goes right to 6400-6500 (at peak HP, going from memory again because I'm not at the shop to check.)It runs close to peak power until shift out.
If you are experiencing better run times by changing the primary spring, it's probably because you are over or under reving (past or below peak HP) and getting better traction.
