~Whats your best excuse for not riding rite now~
Got ejected/knocked off quad last week, helmet saved head, goggles saved eyes, gloves saved hands, boots saved ankles and feet, DOH! No knee pads, knee got twisted, possibly tore menisucs (holds knee together laterally) sitting at home, can't even unload quad from the bed of the truck, but getting around better today, don't have to use the old man cane anymore to limp, knee is all braced up with an athletic supporter I got at the drugstore. Probably can't ride until mid July or beginning of August.
Bayou 220 now has bent tie-rod mount on spindle, I think my left front wheel hit a rut, we were running up a hill with not much of a grade, done it hundreds of time, just heading out of one set of trails to connect to another, one minute i was on, the next I was off the quad and tumbling. Quad almost rolled off a cliff but I was able to catch it while my buddies came to help. I rode a Rubicon out, we improvised on the tie-rod adjustment to get the bayou back to the truck, my buddy rode it for me. I think I'm getting rid of the bayou and getting a P650 or P400 before I go back out, my friends were all saying "you need to bayou a bigger four wheeler". I now agree, I'll also have knee pads on next time.
Oh well you can't ride and not expect to sustain some injuries every now and then, it's accepted risk we all take. I'll just have knee pads next time.
