#1
Just for your information , I Just seen my friends new 700 V-Force , it was in the back of his pick-up and I notice the rear engine mounts were cracked the left side was crack all along the weld and the right side had just began on the bottom of the weld, there approx 60 hours of ridding time only,, You will see on a clean frame a light black dust allong the weld this will indicate the beginning of a crack.
Just For Your Information.....
Something to check out....

Whats your friend do with his V700? Jump alot? Big jumps? Did he case any jumps? Is he generally ride his quad like he stole it and doesn't care what he runs over? Does he race? Just trying to get a feeling on how these cracks may have happened.

"bbertram" he normaly just rides Pipe line ,trails & sand Pits which has some loose 6inch rocks, few mogos, no big jump, nothing major. he wheelie it over few times small whipe outs in trail corners. He Use to have 86 Lt250r about 8 to 10 years ago and even with that he wasn't a big aggressive rider. He doesn't race anything yet, but we are trying to convince him to try Harscrambles, so I think he will come down to Millville July 19th- 20th just as a spectator, and if he likes what he see he'll come down to Akaley,MN. The way I look at it was the large amount of Torque of the Drive shaft tens to pull the engine side to side which puts lots of strain on those engines mounts, where as a chain drive, the torque is back & forth.. this is just a guess... or it appears the weld was to cold and did no penetrate in the tubing of the frame.

I'm pretty sure that I broke it jumping. . I do ride it pretty aggresively, and have bottomed it out front and rear numerous times. I have only really wiped it out the once, and I guess it's possible that it could have happened then. I clipped a tree with the right front tire and endo'ed it, then rolled it over. I checked the frame for cracks after that happened and didn't notice it then, I'm not sure when it showed up. I've only been riding in sand lately so I haven't washed it or gone over it. Thanks Gaetan for noticing though. I haven't ridden with FrenchGuy for awhile and I can't wait for a chance to keep up with him
The good news is that when it gets welded, the guy here who does it is a customer of mine so I'm getting some extra gussets also.
p.s. I haven't wheelied it over yet, close though.

Hey Sam, can't wait to get together and ride. With this rain we're getting right now, what do you think of meeting at KOA and going up to the pipeline. I really haven't had the chance to play in the mud yet, are you up for that? Maybe we could get Gaetan and Justin to come.
Thanks again for helping me with my bike that day, saved me alot of trouble.

Ya I don't mind the mud at all, unless it gets to deep I need to get some ride time in this week, since I'm doing that WORCS race this weekend in Millville. So if you want to get together for a ride this week let me know.
