Get escrow if you do this, some people send checks and nothing happens after that.

I don't like it when people will not put their location in the ad. Email him and see if you can get a phone number and talk to the guy before you commit to this big ticket item. Also, the escrow is a good idea as well.

It does look too good to be true! I bought my 2k2 prairie on ebay also, and thought it was too good to be true, but it ended up the guy was real ( he only had 2 feedbacks!) I would definately call the guy and speak to him, and ask him some questions relating to the atv. How can it be BRAND new? Did he ever ride it or what?

I've heard ppl are buying 2003 p650s new from dealers for $5500-$5800 since the p700 is now around. I'd try to ****** one of those up. Of course, if it's new, thats an even better deal, with the warranty. You can certainly get on kawasaki's site and punch in the VIN to verify the extended warranty status, if it's active already....

I found an ad on the classifieds on this site that was too good to be true. I did follow up on it and tried everything to get him to accept using an escrow company. He refused. We sent emails back and forth, he wanted a wire transfer, as he was in Spain and could not receive a check because he could not get a bank account. It was totally bogus. I finally told him he was a con artist, trying to scam someone. He said "go find a women and spend your money with her ,we don't have deal ,you are a very stupid customer don't try to email me ,ever ." I did some research using google, and the email address was listed as someone in Ohio, who had a bookstore. I had a friend email him about a book, and he replied, (in the same broken english) How much will you give me for mmy book? We did more research and contacted the guy in Ohio, and he said someone stole his email and ebay accouunts. That says it all.
Be carefull, especially with large amounts of money. I guess he thought I would be stupid enough to send him money, without a guarentee I would receive the ATV. He wanted $1500. and would ship 2nd day air from Spain?
I complained to the sites moderator and the ad was removed. He is listed as a fraud on other classified add sites. His name was Ion Silviu. Escrow is the only way to protect BOTH of you.

TriumphDude, the same thing happened to me when trying to buy a bigbear off of ebay! He was totally full of himself! He was selling a 2k3 big bear 400 4x4 for 2499 buy it now! I emailed him, and he said he would end the auction early for me. He told me the same story of how he was in spain, and that I had to wire the money to him using western union, and said he would send it 2 days using UPS from spain! hahaha. I tried to do escrow but he wouldnt accept it, and kept going down on his price until it was at 1000. I finally told him he was a con, and filed a complaint with ebay. He almost scammed the guy who won the auction too, but luckily I emailed him before his money was lost!

If it sounds too good to be true, it most likely, is.................
I spent a year getting title to a motorcycle that was priced "too low to be true". I lost money there. BE CAREFULL, it smells like a scam!

yep, its gone now. It was strange, it said 5150, but there was no reserve, and bidding was around 2000 bux. Then it just disappeared.
