Default Ultimate Ignition

In the past I have been limited by the cdi on our machine and I think I have come up with the solution to my problem....an ultimate ignition. One that is totally universal from a P650 to a P700 and most importantly to a already quick V700. This ignition can have a variety of timeing advances set at different rpms with maximum advance set at what ever you decide. It will also be able to set the all important rev limit. Now timeing and rev limiter will no longer be an issue. I can't wait to have this babby hooked up with my blower and Nos I will finally have 100 hp and 100 mph plus 11,000 rpm. All out of a P650 the only thing to do next is to big bore and stroke the crank that will be next year. Who knows maybe there will be a 200 hp 750 in the year to come HHHHHhhhhhhmmmmmm. Mastrblastr the back end is Titanium maybe the front end should be too LOL.

I have been working on this system for a long time I will have it working this week and will have definate results in about 2 weeks. Kawasaki has made a formidable cdi maybe they did well to down tune the 650 as with a tuneable ignition this machine is a monster. There are a few people on this forum who have ridden my quad in the basic stock form and find it very rather quick......... with the new igintion it will perform 30% better. The way my 650 stands now it will run circles around a P700 with the ultimate ignition it will dance around the P700. Imagine what it could do installed on a P700 or V700?????

One more interesting note, It will also work on a Polaris quad, Yamaha quad or any other machine even a Briggs & Straton one lunger.

Do you have any intentions on producing this for other people? How much room does it take? Is it reliable in water and mud? Can it be turned off with a switch?

Keep up the good work alltoys, your making all of us proud....hehe.

alltoys, great job on finishing the ignition. I can't wait for the report on how it actually performs. Keep us informed!!

Brewster, it looks like you have your clutch weights and springs installed now. How do you like them? Is the engagement still fairly low? Just curious as I have been making some calls on clutch kits and no one seems to have the answer yet.

A few things to mention it will take some modification to install and is crank fired. The best thing it is totally independant of the cdi so the cdi can do its thing and the ignition can do what it is designed for.....horse power. I am also working on a brain box for EFI installation and Nos if desired...........who doesn't want Nos LOL. The possibilities are endless sled fellows are knocking at my door for my plans as this unit will also work on a 3 cylinder 2 cycle engine this is truly a fun project. Bertram it is water and mudd proof as I would not use it or couldn't use it for mud racing especially for ice racing this winter. I am starting on my other engine a few modds to help this next year it should be very quick. I will post details of my motor at a later date it will have basic stuff that everyone can do.

I must thank Reds650 for pointing me in the right direction Dale I will let you be the first to hear how things turn out and to see a new red line for the motor. I am going to see how high the motor will go before it pops a gasket LOL. I will keep you all informed.

A few modifications hey...hehe. I hope its not to difficult to do. When you say a few modifications does that mean moding the motor or adding something inside. I don't want to tear into my motor, I don't trust myself with that stuff yet, I have no experience with that. I really should get an old 4 stroke motor and tear it down and rebuild it. That would be fun, I think....well atleast educational.

Hi MRV,

I am currently running the dark green 3" spring from Hot Seat and it works very very well, however since I don't have a tach yet, I can't really gauge my performance too easily. I can tell you that that farthest I was able to jump the V with stock spring and 2 56gram clutch weights was 36.5' and with the new spring I can jump out to 40-42' consistently, so the bottom line is it has increased the mid-top end a bit. Also in a drag against my Z400, even when the Z beats me on the hole shot and gets a quad length in front of me I am back even with him at about 150-200' and have passed him by about 350-400 ft. I had trouble doing this before. Also I don't have as much trouble with the front end coming up at the holeshot with this spring.

This spring works very well, but if I were you I would wait for EPI to come out with the pink spring, which is supposed to be available in about 1 week. It is supposed to be specifically designed for the V-Force.

I am still playing around with different combos as I also have a 2 3/4" EPI spring (recommended and sold to me by Mike Penland) and 2 more 56gram weights. I also have another clutch plate cover coming as I want to experiment with lightening one of them.

I'm waiting for Dalton Industries to finish their R&D on the V-Force. They are playing with weights and springs I believe. I can't wait to combine alltoys wonderfull ignition and some clutch mods, the V is going to rip.
