Default lakota and mojave owners.............smoothy hood

On my smoothy hood i have unplugged the ignition and lights,but now it will not crank with just the run switch on.The only way it will crank is with the ignition key in and turned on like regular not unplugged.So am i doing something wrong?

i think you have to splice the wires together that go to the key to complete the circuit.
