Tired of Loosing Your Black Fender Plastic?
#1
A simple solution for those that like to blaze trails through the brush. You will need a 24" sections of 1/2 inch angle dexion (used frequently to mount garage door motors. For each joint you will need two 1" button head phillips head screws, (same size but longer than other screws in your plastic), 2 self locking nuts, and 4 one inch flat washers sized for screw, a drill, wrench and screw driver. Cut off dexion into 3-holed sections so that three holes are left exposed. Hammer dexion flat on a hard surface. Center dexion on underside or top side of fender plastic but over the joint seam of black fender plastic so there is one inch on either side of seam and drill through plastic in each end of the dexion. Place flat washer on each side of screw, install nut & Tighten.
Do all joint seams. Spray paint button head washers black or leave as is. Haven't lost anymore black fender plastic.
