I called progressive tonight.. and looks like for me it would be $137/year. Is this a good deal, I mean price wise? I think it sounds sweet. That's with a $250 deductible/collision $100/comprehensive
I asked the guy if this V got crazy and I wrapped it around a tree (which is entirely possible with my riding skills) and did $2000 worth of damage, he said it would cost me $250...

Yes, that sounds about right. That is about what I pay for my P650. On my last quad, a 450ES, I rolled it about 15 times down the side of a mountain, doing over $2200.00 in damage. They took out the deductable and issued a check for the damages. No compaints with their service.

I don't know why but alot of it, depend's on where you live. I live in East Tn. and my ins. for my 650 pra. with progressive is 208 per year with a 250 deductable, cheapest ANYWHERE else was 300, so i went with progressive....

Checked with Progressive They want 262.00 a year to cover my P700 and 198.00 to cover my Suzuki 500. I was wrong on the rate for my quads with State Farm I pay 275.00 for P700 and 231.00 for the Suzuki. But that includes medical payment insurance too. Still a lot of money I asked my agent and he said it is because we have fairly high theft rates for ATVs here and due to the big mountains. His explaination that back east mostly they just hit a tree or roll it 2or three times, when people wreck them here they usually roll them clear down the mountain and total them. What ever it sucks I want to pay only 130 a year for my rides.

If you guys are paying that low of a premium, you aren't getting much coverage. Sure you have coverage for your bike if it's in an accident. But you certainly dont have coverage for the kid who's leg you broke that you accidentally hit, and that sues you for $150k because he can't walk again... You guys should consider liability, uninsured motorists coverage, and medical coverage as a necessity IMO, not just simple fire/theft/collision. A good solid policy will be $300+ from progressive. It all depends how much you have to lose...

WEll that makes sense. you have 100k coverage for $208. Originally they asked about $137. Depends if $100k is enough coverage for you and yours, and if you have benefits from work thats another story too.... Age also matters...
