Default 700 sticking in reverse

I was riding in the mud this weekend and now I am having problems shifting out of reverse. Several times I had to shut of my quad to get it to shift. Any suggestions woul be greatly appreciated. I have tryed to clean all of the mud out of the hand shifter.

Not sure it is the mud. Could be the idle speed, too high. Check your owners manual to find the location of the little(black) splined **** under the air box, on the RH side. Try turning it counter-clockwise a little. ( I think it is on the right, can't remember for sure).
You ARE stepping on the rear brake, before trying to shift out of reverse, right?
I ride Wayne, down by Nelsonville, where do you ride?

You don't know Gary M. from NewLex? He has a Suz Z400 Yellow, SoBe Graphics. He rides Perry a lot. Also has a 2WD Red Rancher.
I ride WNF a lot, and Hat/McCoy about 4-6 times a year.
