I have submited the belt numbers to our industrial supply reps. The only glimer of hope is that GATES has more molds than any other belt mfg out there. And GATES makes Woods belts.
I'm hopeing Kawasaki contracted GATES. If so we will save $$ on belts. I'm waiting on his email.

IM gonna tell you guys, how many people have the resources for welding and machining the pulley sheaves? I know I dont and dont care to ever take on such a task. If that is what it takes to reach the 70 mph mark I will settle for 68. Im looking for a bolt on or wiring mod that will give me that. You guys keep talking about redoing the pulley sheaves and such. It just amazes me that you all would spend the time, money and effort for a few more mph. LOL I just think its really funny. Personally I dont have the time for it and even if I did I would mess with it.

But,...good luck with your experiements and effort. I hope its worth your while. It sure wouldnt be worth mine.

THE ROCK,maybe try Mitsubishi Ind. I know that Dayco and Gates do most of the domestic stuff, but look at the price of Suzuki and Yam ATV belts(extremely expensive). Look at Arctic Cat..Snow belts..cheap,ATv belts(Suzuki)..Expensive. Maybe I don't know anything, but it may be worth a try.Helix

interesting, 4.7 in 350 feet? Thats really fast. Id say thats what...a 4.3-4.4 in the 100 yards? For those of you who dont care about 100 yard races disreguard this post because its not directed towards you, its directed towards alltoys. What have you done to your v-force that makes it half a second quicker when going an extra 50 feet. Thats something to be proud of. 100 horse machines have a hard time hitting times like that (keeping in mind they'd be running 50 extra feet). Im curious to what track this time was ran at. Not slamming you, just curious. This should go in the yamaha forum since there is a thread about "what the fastest 4-stroke is". Sounds like this is the sh*t...

What about changing the ring & pinion in the rear diff (2wd only) or both for 4wd to change the ratio? There are gear manufacturers that can reverse engineer. It may be costly approx. $1000 (or less if we get many interested parties to buy quantity) but I think we have enough power stock to pull a taller gear for those looking for more top end.

My out of the bun I mean box thinking.

Easteregg,

Taller tires will also do what your talking of. I have 31" high tires.

About the Belt. I spoke with our industrial supply rep today and he submitted the numbers to GATES. They replied that it is a Kawasaki belt. He says OK, give me your part number so I can price and order. There was some kind of run around. He needs to see an actual belt in order to get what we need. I gave him the numbers posted here but he says if you want me to go any further I need a belt.
Anyone? I promise to return it. A used or worn out one will be fine as long as it is intact.
This guy has incentive to do this. He wants to make me happy because we order lots of items from him. Anheuser-Busch Inc. is a large account for him.
Anyone got a belt to loan out?
