220 Bayou: top speed?? whats good, whats bad?
we had a 98, that we traded off when I got the 650 Prairie... My wife loved it, & was actually mad at me for a while... that she had to ride the 300 Prairie ( she did eventually get over it )...I sold it to a friend, & it's a great quad... goes nearly anywhere we do with the "bigger" machines... ours would go 45-50 mph... Great little Trail Quad. We had a 2000. It doesn't have a lot of low end torque, so you have to keep it wound up. The Rear Suspension has a dual shock setup on it, which has it's pluses and it minuses. It almost acts like an independent rear suspension. On the plus side, the rear tires will stay in contact with the ground on all but the very worst of terrain, giving you great traction. The down side is, it tends to have a lot of body roll (Leans) when you try to corner aggressively. Overall, it's a fun ride and is a good starter quad. For $800, if it hasn't been wrecked, it's a heck of a great buy.
Where did you say it was?

I had a 97' Bayou and it ran like a stripped ape!!! I took it to Lake City, Colorado and rode it over 250 miles on trails ranging from 9,000 to over 13,000 ft. elevation. It went anywhere the big quads went. All I had to do is lower the needle one notch because of the altitude.
