Well, thats it. When reviewing this data, please give more weight to the 4wd runs as they eliminate the wheel spin and made the P650 more stable.

If anyone has any questions or wants my to post any of the springs 3 individual runs just let me know. I hope this is easier to read.

Enjoy
Tim

Stakk,
You hit it dead on with respect to springs and weights they do go hand in hand. The weights especially adjustable are important as the weight must collapse the spring from this point you can change the position of the rivet(s) to move shift out and back shift. A weight and spring combo will put you into the range you wish to be in, such as a 300 foot drag race or maximum pulling power at 6500 rpm as in Shotguns sled pulling monster. The torque range can be moved on a CVT clutch so it resembles an automatic response to conditions you want to control.

KOD,
That was some well done exhaustive testing. Soon you will have time to reflect on your results for as much as you have done with individual springs. You have only scratched the surface with respect to adjustable weights/multitude of weighted rivets/spring combos. How's the heel doing LOL ready for more testing LOL.

Thanks again guys.

alltoys is 6500rpms where the P650 is making the most power? If that is the case then Im already in good shape with the stock weights at 300' races. Do the stock weights weigh 58g? If I wanted to get quicker ETs at 600' what weights would you guys recommend? My heel is doing fine, thanks for asking.

Did anyone notice that I had appoximately an 8mph gain from 300 to 600' but from 600 to 875' I only had appox 2mph gain. This is what Im hoping the Unlimiter Module with cure.

Do you need the primary clutch puller to change the weights or can they be changed leaving it all on? Looked like it can but I have never tried it.

Shotgun, I may take you up on your offer to test the weights "IF" I can find a place to test them here, near my house. I will also need a helper like my brother in law was.

Some info here to compare to KOD's times....I got this from an old Dec. 2000 issue of Dirtwheel's.....They were doing a shootout between a 400ex, Raptor, and DS650......Drag race results, Approx.300 ft..perfect traction....400ex=6.62 sec........DS650=6.44 sec.......660R=6.42 sec....... Slap that EPI red in and run 4x4 and you've beat the sport bikes...........Heck, the bright green and plain white would also give them a run for their money, the ex is beat with even the stock primary.......

Gezz i feel sory for you guys my p650 when it was stock would do 100yrds in 6.1 at 45mph. I did that on a dirt road where there was not good traction. I guess it helps to be 16 and weigh137. any body need me to race their V for them (hehe).

Stakk, I raced a 400ex at our 325' drag strip my first weekend in VA. I was racing in 2wd with that crappy 100 octane gas and the EPI B/G spring in. My front wheels could stay with his back wheels and once out of five times we tied. I am certain with 87 octane gas, EPI Red or Dalton B/W spring and running 4wd I could have atleast tied that 400ex every time and more than likely outran it.

Thanks for the answer shotgun.

prairivenom, I would like to see that 6.1 with a stock P650 at 100yards "300feet". Especially on a dirt road without good traction.

Thank you kod. You do the kind of testing with products that I like to read about. I have a 04 Vforce with many mods, I have the epi pro series kit with the red spring. I do ALOT of hillclimbing, that's why I went with the red spring. I was told that it would give me the quickest excelleration, and it seems to. I like the red spring for my own use, but I could quickly see why others may not like it. The forward engaugment doesn't bother me, but if I have to turn around on a hillside it's kinda tricky. It engauges a little to harsh for offcamber turnarrounds. After reading your results I'm curious about the bright green spring, but I need all the accelleration and speed I can get in the shortest distance. Thanks again for the testing.

KOD,

I am gearing up for some weight/spring tests. I could use some of those springs if all are willing to part with them a little longer. If you can and want to get Shotgun's weights then have at it..... His are different than the ones I have. So, a broad test with those would be good too.
