Does anyone know if the recoil backup from the Prarie (650 or 700) with bolt up to the KFX700? (and what is this pink spring I keep reading about?)

 

can't tell you about the recoil ..... the pink spring everyone is talking about is the primary clutch spring
(engine end of belt). The heavier sping raises the engaugement point ... higher "stall speed" so to speak.

 

Thanks... I like my engagement point, but still wanna know if I can back up the electric starter.

 

You know ..... I bought a P650 three years ago last month .... and I have never used the pull starter ???

 

Well, I bought my V-Force about 3 months ago and already had the battery die on me. Sometime it's my only light source, and usually it's fine. Last Sunday though, the light got real dim and the starter wouldn't turn.

 

I don't think it will work on the V-Force. The dogs on the recoil have nothing to grab onto to turn the motor over. There might be a way to to add those things that the dogs catch to turn the motor over though. I'm not really sure I used the correct word, dogs. Thats what people call them here.
