Anyone raced a Predator with their V-Force?
My neighbors boyfried does not like me and he wants to buy the Polaris because he heard it is the fastest stock quad made. He wants to beat me bad. I told him that it comes down to rider weight and conditions when you are talking about the fastest quads. I weigh 250 and he is around 300lbs. Any clues to as who will win? I really don't care. I ride to have fun and if I wanted to drag all the time I would have bought a Banshee instead. BTW I will probably have the pink spring in by the time we race. Thanks guys.

I've raced my V against my cousins pred. At the time I had the pink in place and his pred was stock.. The pred still walked away slowly and ended up having about a 1 mph advantage in top speed. I just bought a hpd plain and next time we race i'll post the results. If you want to stand a better chance, buy a more agressive spring and let us know how it turns out. Good luck!

The best two drag racing mods so far for me have been: 1) using ratchet tie-downs to compress the springs and 2) the hpd silver/gold primary clutch spring. I race modded raptors a lot. Your opponent's 300lbs will definitely help you. Are you racing on pavement or dirt? If you strap it down, you can launch full throttle. If you get a steeper stall rate spring, you will get an even better launch. If you keep him at about 200-300 ft. you should be fine.

You should also let him know that the Pred isn't the fastest stock bike, and actually, never was. The Cdale was faster while in production til 2003 and now in the 2004 model years the new Yami is faster. Sorry Pred fans, but it never was fastest....
