what the top speed of a bayou 220 with a cobra exhaust and k&n filter could it beat my trx300 4x4 with 25" dunlop tires?

 

I've heard a standard Bayou 200 can fly along at a WHOPPING 37 MILES PER HOUR.
I doubt it could touch your trx, but I have found them to be quick accelerating, because of their low gearing

 

im kinda debating on what to buy a sport or utility i like the 220 but am worried that it wont keep up with my friends 220 that can beat my 300 what are some mods to make it go alot faster.

 

My uncle has a bayou 220 and we ride often together and he clocked his at 48 mph stock.
doesn't sound right huh but it is because a bayou 400 does 39 and you figure that a 220 bayou would have to be faster because of wheight diffence and gearing.

 

That little Bayou 220 is an amazing machine. They are quick, light, perky, agle,tough as nails, and CHEAP! (compaired to other new ones). I read where one person bought 2 from a dealer for $2,990 each. It's not a racer, not a mountain goat, but it is a great all around machine. Great choice for a first quad.

Bayou 220 and Rancher ES 4x4

 

it aint my first quad its actually my forth ive owned a 1983 200x,a 86 trx125,and a 97 trx 3004x4.im the best rider in my area i can pull long wheelies on my 4X4! its not hard i had to practice alot though i was gonna buy a 300ex but im kinda leaning toward the 220 becase i like to ride in mud.
