iv did it a couple of times, but my buddies do it all the time, they get on the ol v, and wheelie off but when it stands up the tail light grabs before the grab bar and rips it off every time. i cut the hangie down thingy off the bottom of the tail light but it still grabs, i did it agian today and it riped it clean off. what in the world do i do?

let off the gas before you kill yourself in attempting to do this. for real though, learn to work the throttle, theres never a real reason to go all the way back on the grab bar unless your trying to stand it up on purpose.

SOUNDS LIKE YOU NEED A WHEELIE BAR BUDDY.LOL. NO REALLY THOUGH JUST SOME PRACTICE WITH YOUR THROTTLE WILL HELP .FIND YOUR BALACE POINT AND TRY TO KEEP IT THERE. TOOK ME A WHILE TO LEARN TOO. FIND SOME SAND LIKE AT A RIVER OR BEACH OR DUNE, THE SAND WILL SLOW YA DOWN AND GIVE YA MORE CONTROL OVER THE POWER, PLUS IF YA FLIP IT DONT HURT AS BAD.02 650WARN 2500K&N FILTERNAPA #7335EPI BLACK SPRINGNYROC EXHAUST MOD

remember this ! ... friends don't let friends wheelie their V !!! The first time I let someone play on my V he did just what you decribe.... grab bar, tail light, rear fender plastic ... $325.00. Since then, I only let visitors ride AFTER I run the throttle limit screew in enough to limit the speed ( and eliminate wheelies) to about 30 mph. Bottom line .... my V is not the community "learn how to wheelie" machine.

very true. i've learnt the hard way as well. letting unexperienced friends try to ride it, they dont understand value or power, and something always ended up getting broke/ran into. so now its just my own semi-unexperienced *** riding it, hehe.

Try tapping your rear brake when you think your about to rip off your tail light. With proper throttle and rear brake tapping, you should be able to keep it in the sweet spot.

yeah you might want to have a foot on the rear brake at all times and throttle it seems to be the main problem

You are supposed to get a spring with a higher stall to make the tires spin instead of wheelie. Search for some of the posts from KevinM. He even has an FAQ page. Link

elka suspension will change the wheelie issue period. The combination of stiffer springs, and the machine being lower will make it alot harder to wheelie.
