hi I have a 2002 650 and I am blowing belts just wondering if its just me. what do you think the problem is belt deflection is ok new belt only lasted 300 miles.

also will a p 700 or a kfx 700 belt fit my p 650

 

The problem shouldnt be belt deflection if its within spec. If you had a belt go in 300 miles, and the deflection is good, I would say something is worn out in your clutches. I have over 1100 miles on my original belt and made two adjustments.

Yes, the P700/V-force belt will work on your P650. I have one waiting to go on when my original belt wears out.

 

A bad secondary bushing will mess belts up fast.

Thanks guys. the secondary bushings are a little looser than I think they should be so I am going to get some made out of oil lite brass and go from there I took out my black spring and put in the stock one any body know the rates of the black vs stock?

 

Leave the black spring in. General concensus says it helps with belt wear. I would have to argue in favor of the black spring from personal experience.
