All mojaves are the same right up through from 87-2003
They are liquid cooled
Double Overhead Cam 4-valve
5-speed + Revirse
Chain Drive
Disk breaks in front and rear
Mono shock in rear
double a-arms in front
kick start only

87 octane is fine for the stock motor. That is what is listed in the owners manual.

Yes- but Stock is 11:1, and you have an 11.5:1 piston in there- do you manage on pump gas with that kind of a compression?

My 02' says 91 or higher.

Kwackermann: There are many things that help prevent detonation in an engine with hi-compression.

Aluminum head, hemi head, small bore etc. A engine with a 4 inch bore, wedge chambers and cast iron heads would rattle before an engine with a 2 inch bore, a hemi chamber and aluminum heads.
