HELIX,

Can you give advice on how you did this?

I agree with Helix, if the V is already at 28 degrees and 32 degrees is said to be the very best for that motor, why wait for a CDI, when a $5.00 key will do the same thing. I'm sure the new CDI will raise the limitor, but is anyone close to the old limitor.

Now the 650 is a different story, we need more advanced timing than a key will give, and I been on the limitor in low gear.

SHOTGUN,

Do you have a supplier of the offset timing key you used?

Mickey Dunlap or Mike Penland sell the 6 degree keys, ask Helix on the three degree, he probably sells them.

Kawy or Helix

How come Wiseco list's the 650 2mm over piston's as 665 in displacement? If I recall the V is 697? I just want to make sure I order the correct ones. Wiseco part# 4782M08200. Thanks for your help. Also what's involved to install the offset key?

Ken

the stroke on the 650 is 63mm - 82mm bore * 63mm stroke * 2 =665
the stroke on the 700 is 66mm - 82mm bore * 66mm stroke* 2=697
hope this helps

Since someone is talking about pistons, does anybody know if a 11:1 compression is available for the 650 in a standard bore. I was also wondering if cams are recommended with this setup, and what kind of performance gains would be expected by the pistons alone, and with the addition of aftermarket cams with the pistons?
Thanks,
Crankdog
