Default Warn winch and a Kawasaki Prairie 650

I just installed my winch on my 650. It was pretty tight. Is it REALLY okay to remove the plastic baffle that between the radiator and winch? I do see how it is hard to see the winch roller but is it okay not to have that plastic baffle?
Thanks!

What it is for is to funnel air in to the rad. What I did is cut a section out so I could see the cable and that way I still keep the air deflecting in the rad.

I removed my shield but maybe it is a good idea to try and make it fit with a winch mounted so close to it...here is another thought though>to deflect air or funnel air toward the radiator I would think the ATV has to be going at least over 20 MPH most of the time to really make much of a difference,my main concern is sticks and rocks getting bounced up into it.
