My buddy is supposed to be picking his new Honda up on Thursday. Of course , the crap talking has already started. I think I will take him in a drag on hard pack. But, of course that bike should out handle me on the tight stuff. Any other opinions? We are getting togethor this weekend to do some riding.

 

I spoke to my dealer today and he said the ship date for the 450r has been moved back to the 30th of December. So you may have to wait a few more weeks to race. A number of other members have posted the dec 30-31 as the ship dates as well.

Regarding the race between a vforce and 450r. Right now there is no way to tell. My money would definitely be on the 450r. Hard pack, tight trails, jumping etc. You have to give props to the vforce, stock and modded they are awesome from what I've read and seen thus far. However, the real competition will be between the pred, yfz450 and 450r.

Well, he just called them today and they were shipped on the 8th. Supposed to be at his dealer any day now. Yeah, I have no doubt that he should leave me on the trails. I still think I can take him in a drag. Only one way to find out.

I will. If his dealer is not telling him the truth then I would imagine he would be really pissed off. Anyway, I am pretty excited to see it too. It sure looks like a bad *** bike.

 

In a 300ft drag, it would be a close race. I can beat a stock yfz450 by about a bike length with my v now, but a modded one takes me by 2 plus. If u can keep the front end down, hang on and let us know how it goes.

 

yeah, I am gonna go play with my hpd plain and my epi pink spring with some shims and see which is faster. I also need to double check my jetting. You racing on sand or dirt?

 

We raced on sand and grass. Beat him in both places, id race on the grass. The v loves the grass best.

 

every one is saying that the yfz is going to be faster than the 450r i think it would be funny f the 450r smoked the yfz that would keep them from bragging

 

Well, I just got the new issue of ATV Rider. the got to test ride the new Honda and they made it sound like the yamaha was faster. Also, it looks like my buddy is getting the run around a bit. he was told it will be next week now until his Honda shows up.
