Default P650 Front Motor Mount/Clicking Noise

I haven't posted in a while but wanted some input for any that may be able to shed a little light on this subject.

The last few months, when riding my '02 650, I get a loud 'click' noise when riding over uneven terrain. The noise seems to be coming from underneath the left floorboard, just in front of my left foot toe. When the machine is not running I can jump on one side (floorboard) and rock the machine back and forth and get the 'click'.

After reading some articles and info, I read that the front motor mounts on the 650 have been getting loose. I'm thinking that 'maybe' this is what it is. 'Maybe' the gearing is getting out of alignment because of it...I don't know, just want to know if anyone has experienced this and what it may be?

Any ideas?

Parker

Your swingarm bearings are shot. Do a search and you will get info on what to do.

Has anyone else had similar problems?

Was it their swingarm bearings?

It is your swing arm bearings for sure. Mine did the same thing at 2300 miles. Cost about 45 bucks in parts and about 2 hours of my time. Bad design on the bearings.
