KFX700 V Force ok for casual trail riding?
I would appreciate the opinions of V Force Owners. I am 42, 185 lbs and 6 feet.
I am wondering about buying a V Force for recreational use on logging/fire roads and some trails.
I am not racing, jumping, or mudding. I don't need a work quad and the V Force with its
shaft drive and auto transmisson sound perfect. I know it is capable of much more, but is it comfortable
just noodling along a dirt road at say, 30 mph?
I have heard good things about the machine, but I have also heard it is sprung kinda harsh and
takes some steering effort to steer. Can the shocks be set to a soft setting?
Basically, I just want to get out and tour around without being beaten up. And yes I know some
of you jump Snake River Canyon with yours--it's up to it--I'm not.
Any thoughts on its use as an auto touring machine would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave

Very comfortable, very well balanced. Steering is no effort at all and the spring issue is with jumpers. This machine is perfect for what you want to do. It has the potential for much more, but that's the beauty of this atv. It is very versatile. I say go for it. If you ride the V, it will speak for itself.

Shanman73 makes a very good point about the money. I like my V so much that I honestly had forgotten about the price The polaris magnum is fully auto and shaft drive. You can probably save some significant money and meet your needs. Not trying to talk you out of the V, just making a suggestion. If the money is no issue at all, I would get the V. By the way, the magnum would also have the advantage of racks. I've never owned one; it just sounds like it would fit your wants/needs. Good luck with whatever you choose. I'm sure you will enjoy no matter what kind you get. click here

Wow, thanks guys!
I appreciate the input.
Actually I was planning to go faster than 30, sometimes. ;-)
I just wanted to know if it handled well at moderate speeds, or if it
was pure sport machine. I think you have answered that.
Thanks also for the Polaris suggestion. I am partial to the
Kawasaki for quality control issues. Plus it looks so mean!
Thanks again!
