I am considering doing nyrocs muffler mod to my 04 p700 but don't want it to be obnoxios sounding. Does anyone have one of these modded p700's recorded?
If you do can you also tell me what size and how many holes you drilled?

we drilled a few 1 half in holes----no noise issue at all,just meaner sounding
no excessive noise

 

How many holes and to what depth?
And is the 700 muff the same as the 650?

 

I have done the mod to mine, and I want to put a stock muffler back on mine. It sounds good, I drilled 6 7/16 inch holes. I hog hunt with dogs and I need my 4 wheeler to be as quiet as possible. If you want to consider trading let me know.

 

Did you have to re-jet after the mod?

 

I have three, one inch holes in my stock pipe. Gave a much deeper/meaner sound. Not to loud though. Thus far i haven't pulled a plug to check if i were lean. It is popping through the carbs when cold so i figure i'll have to bump up a jet size this spring.

yes the 650 and 700 pipes are the same.

 

It was already jetted. I had a BIG GUN exhaust on it.

Since you had both the Big Gun and the Nyroc Modded stock pipe, can you tell me which one gave you more engine performance? Which one was louder?

PS - Where is Arp, TX? I have never heard of it.

I could not tell a difference between BIG GUN and Nyroc's mod. I drilled 6 7/16 inch holes and cut the spark arrestor out. The BIG GUN was only 3 months old and started leaking, I sent it to the factory and they would not honor their warranty. The mod is a little louder, it sounds good to me, but I need to quieten it down now.
