Default Quietest duals for the KFX700!

I want to put duals on the V in a month or so, but I need it to be some what quiet. I have a 2 mile trail in my back yard and neighbors are close. So far no one has complained, but I think if I put on a set of loud duals, I will get complaints. 96db is the limit in NH, so I need to be below that. The ones I'm looking at are, MBRP, Yoshi, and Pro Cicuit. For those who have these, how much louder are they from stock, and do the quiet cores work?

Has been my experiance with pipes that if you just idle around and are not on the gas to much none of them are that loud...Its only when you really wack the throttle...My friend has a set of the big gun exaust on his right now and they sound great...reminds me of ducati....

I have the Yoshimura duals on my V-force. They make a "Tech Kit" for their silencer that includes two different sized outlets, besides the open end that the silencers come with. With the smallest outlet they claim 92 db, and with the mid-sized outlet they claim 96 db. The open ends are what I am running, and Yoshimura says they put out 102 db. In my opinion 102 db is loud, not too loud, but still very loud none the less. We just got back from some desert riding in the Nevada desert, and on the last day I decided to take my V-force for a ten minute spin by myself while the wife and kids were packing up camp. When I got back my family told me they could hear the V-force from about three miles away across the desert. I would call that loud, but I had the V-force at wide open throttle the whole time.

Phil.

I have the tech kit because I bought it when I bought the Yoshimura exhaust, but I have not bothered to put it in. Sorry.

I agree with Mentalstate, unless you really open it up they're not that loud. I have the Pro Circuit T-4 Duals andwhen you open it up it's very loud. I'm running the open end and love the way it sounds, most pipes will have a quiet kit that should mellow it out and keep your neighbors happy

I've got the yoshi duals with the tech kit . Right now I have the smallest outlet in,seem's almost quieter than stock untill you get on it, and even then it's not that loud. Personally I like them with the mid size outlets in, IMO it's just right, but then I'm 58 years old and maybe tired of really loud exhaust. I just had to have them cause it's like the V force was made for dual's.

Sounds like the Yoshi pipes are the ones to get. For those with the Yoshi duals, what did you do to the jetting, and what gains did you feel?

Whatever you do don't go with HMF if you are looking for quiet. They will sell you what they call a quiet core, but that only gets you from 110db to 102db. I asked them for a product they used to make called Hunter Cores but they don't produce them anymore. They gave me the impression that they don't care, "It is what it is". They produce excellent quality systems, but at the noise levels they produce you can only ride on a closed course without getting in trouble.

GE 4X4.....if you have a high flow air filter ( not stock! ) with a Dynojet kit and you follow their recommendations and instructions you will have strong running V. If you change or add air box/intake mods your jetting is going to have to change more than likely and then its all a matter of having to try different jets till you get it right. Love my Yoshis.
