I Just picked up my new 04 KFX. It looks awesome and I can't wait to take it out. I've been Going over all the info regarding break in, getting a skid plate for the swingarm, nerf bars etc. So many things to consider. Anyway, for someone who's only quad experience is riding his wife's recon, I've got some learning to do. I can't wait!

 

Congrats on your new bike.........I just bought one a month ago and after riding a rancher and then getting on the kfx is night and day.......Yes you do have some learning to do, and alot of it..... just be carefull with all of that power.......Unlike the Rancher and Recon, The kfx will keep moving as with any sport bike when it hits a big steep hill.......So hang on!!!!! You will love that bike...... The only thing I don't like about the KFX is that the reverse gear is too TALL, you really have to get on the gas to make it move....Especially on an incline....If the reverse gear was the ratio of 1st gear or lower, it would have been perfect.......Other than that no dislikes.....

 

I dont know about the reverse, I have backed up a hill on mine, no problem, only thing i dont like about the reverse is i cant pull a rockford ha ha ha......
