Rear Brake Lever Removal
#1
Hey guys,
Has anyone removed the left hand rear brake lever on thier V-Force which controls the rear brake? You know, where the clutch lever usually sit's. I never use it and I'm having a hard time installing it with the Trail Tech X-Bars. I thought about this before while on the trails and now have the perfect oppertunity to do just this. It looks like you'd just have to remove the lever and perch, cable to the rear brake arm and disconnect the brake light switch. Thx in advance, Rich A

This is very easy to do ...Just dont loose the washer once you unscrew the wing nut on the rear adjuster.....
The only downfall is you have no rear brake light .Unless you are crafty enough to rig it up to the foot break lever?
good luck

Thanks for the replys.
The rear brake foot lever also has a seperate brake switch so that isn't an issue but it was when I had everything removed and in my hand is when I noticed I lost my parking brake. On a manual shift quad I wouldn't mind this, just put it in gear, but on a V-Force I see this as a problem. Not so much as to reinstall the left hand lever however but to look at other options, one being another front brake master cylinder set up off another quad that uses the front brake as the parking brake. Most manual shift quads use the front brake as the parking brake too don't they? How about you guys on Kawi's 400's, is there a locking mechanizum on your front brake lever? Any other suggestions? I know my old DS-650 used the front brake, thx again, Rich
