V Force Top Speed vs. YFZ-450

It's none of our business... he's your kid... but since you brought it up do you mind explaining the thinking behind getting a 13 year old a YFZ450?
My initial reaction to hearing that is "man this guy is on crack" but I don't want to be hasty... so what's the deal?

i had the pleaser of riding with a buddy who rides a piped yzf450 my v is stock we rode the trails for warm up then hit the drag strip.. . the v pulled the holeshot every single time but alas the 450 inched by to win most times then not by just a few feet. we talk about comparing apples to oranges and thats exactly what yall are doing... im impressed to high heaven with the V we talking about a qyad that weighs almost twice as much as these so called sport quads and its holding its own... holding its own in stock form... please fellows lets give kawasaki some credit here for producing a amazing machine... if this piped 450 was only beating my stock v by feet whats going to happen when the mods start going on. pipes jets spring more agressive tires... i know some 450 riders going to go home disapointed...

I have raced a YZF in web sand. I got the hole shot and was first to 40mph but then he slowly passed.

I have drag raced my buddy with his stock Raptor and me on the V Force, we're same size and experience, beat him every time in say a 300ft strip. I'll take on my other buddy and his piped and jetted YFZ in the next couple of weeks. I'm sure I'll lose but it's all in fun anyway.

To tell you the truth there are some adults who I wouldn't trust on a 250EX...
