Default Beating a Dead Horse - Spring Replacement for the V

I know this issue has been covered many times but I need some help. I am installing the Dalton Clutch Kit. Are there any alternatives to having a Clutch Puller? Also, does elevation matter when it comes to the actual weight of the fly Weights? Thanks!

I am no expert but elevation might play a part in it...As far as a puller goes I dont think you need it to put in kit...

Default Beating a Dead Horse - Spring Replacement for the V

Thanks, I am kinda in a bind. I have removed the plastic clutch cover, removed the center bolt from the motor clutch but I do not know how to remove the drive clutch. The instructions say to use a "puller". I have called all the local Kawie shops and they do not have one to sell. I can order one from Dalton for $37.00 plus shipping but that is my last resort. Any Help would be appreciated!

YOu can remove the belt and then you can change the weights. Altitude not a factor with the V as far as weights.

The rear pully comes off without a puller ..... that will let you remove the belt. With the belt off, you can change the weights and spring without removing the front pully.
