SHOULD I GET MY MONEY BACK? JUNK PRAIRIE 650
The dealer takes a 2 year old machine in on trade; he has no clue what kind of abuse it's been subjected to. He gives what you feel is a good price on the machine and then ONLY charges you $50 to make a 2 hour round trip to deliver it. After the driver's wages and gas he lost money on that deal! He offers to fix a 2 year old machine for free and wants $100 to make another trip out and back? I don't see the problem. I would take the machine back and trade it on a new one; because I get the feeling that HondaorArcticCat isn't going to be happy with anything that requires a little work. The dealer is getting a raw deal in the "court of public opinion" on this one!

I know when I trade something in the dealer has his mechanic check things out. Anything they find wrong is taken off the trade in value so they can fix it. So the way I see it, is that this problem should have been fixed at the dealers cost even though they may have over looked it when getting it from the pervious owner.
As far as shipping goes why give them anymore money.

NovaKaw650 is absolutely right. This is a case of someone making a decision he now deems poor and wanting someone else to take the blame. Even if this was a new ride with a problem the dealer would not be responsible for transportation to or from the dealer.
Sicnj, no way in the world do you have 30 days to return something because you changed your mind. Be real guy. If that was true we would all drive a new car every 29 days free of charge.
4 wheelers aren't for everyone. If you aren't mechanically inclined and you don't have transportation find a different hobby. I'm thinking chess. But don't bash a dealer that's doing the right thing.

I know how you feel, to save up for something and then be dissapointed. But dont let a little thing like a leak on a 2 year old machine ruin the whole experience. Its not that big a deal. They are offering to fix it, just get it to them. Has someone else been giving you grief about buying a Kawi maybe?.......

100 bux for pickup and delivery sounds like a fair deal to me, this could have been a brand new prarie 700 and have had the same problem, there are just little things every now and then that need to be worked out, personally if i had no way to haul a machine around, i wouldnt have even bothered buying it

There is a question on how the dealer missed the leak and who knows if there are other hidden problems that might have been over-looked before the 650 was sold.If the dealer will make good on the repairs which he should and if he takes it back and gives you full credit on your purchase price toward a new machine then maybe a new ATV might be a better choice for you...but! your new ATV will still need shop time once in awhile(getting it back to the dealer).
