I am getting ready for my first ATV adventure in n.e. utah( WHERE I GREW UP ) and I really don't want to have tire trouble, So I am looking for advice as to what kind or type of tires & wheels will work best on my new p 700. so lets hear what you think! thanks, ROPNTOZ

 

Where in Utah are you headed? I am in a similar situation and since I live in Utah I need a good mountain, red rock, snow tire. I have narrowed it down to 3 tires: goodyear mudrunners, maxxis bighorn or ITP holeshot ATR. Hope this helps

 

I'm headed down to Vernal. Have you ever ridden there? Any special laws or rules I should Know about? Have heard of Dirt Devil Tires? Thanks, ROPNTOZ

 

I have not ventured into Vernal. Are you riding up in the Uintahs? I have many mixed reviews on the dirt devils. It seems there are consistant positive reviews about the above mentioned tires. My put goodyear rawhide grips on my P650 and they were a good tire but I want something a little different for the P700

 

I'm headed south of vernal, down in the bad lands I know some old ghost towns and where there are a couple dinosaurs that haven't been found. I'll take my 2 sons and show them where I grew up, all they know is the montana mountains.

 

Im headed that way to a Jambree in September I am hopeing my ATRs will work but I will have to do something about the wifes I think.

 

I think the ultimate set up would be Maxxis BigHorns radials on a set of bead lock wheels. That is if money wasn't a problem. Since it is for me, I will probably put the Bighorns on a set of C series wheels. I am thinking about getting the black C series, but am afraid the finish might be easy to scratch. Anyone have any experience with the black C series?

 

Hi, What can you tell me about snorkels? What type of snow plow is best? Where are you from in MT.? Ropntoz

 

Hi OK one at a time, First the stock snorkel is verv restrictive I replaced it with a after market one some use a Napa radiator hose I can get you the part number If you like. I run a 60 in. country plow but I dont know if its any better than the rest but it does work fine. I live in the mountains above Kila west of Kalispel. I'm not sure, Idon't know anything about them. I'm brand new to atving as a recreation. I have used them for work and hunting since 1985 honda foreman 300 I think.( was my first) many since then and I have my first kawasaki !! I am super interested in these rides as a social endevor. so as I get to know more I'll be able to answer that question better. As for the snorkle, I have made adjustments to my air box on my sleds before is this about the same? rop.
