I was looking into possibly getting cams but, I want to know if one is better than the other. I would also like to know if they produce a significant power increase. I have called both of them and Web and Penland both claim a noticable power increase from low to high range. I would like if I could confirm this with some of you to confirm this. The reason that I am asking is that Web wants $230.00 a set and Penlend wants $370.00 a set. For this kind of money I want an noticable difference. I was hoping that a CDI or unlimiter would come available but that doesn't look like it will any time soon.

They are almost identicle cams, call Webb and ask them what the difference is. I have spoke with them on several other cams in the past and they are more than willing to help out! Plus, There is as you know a very big price difference!

I'd be interested in knowing the differences also.

Do you need to change valve springs with the new cams?

the web cams at 230 are closer to mickey dunlaps cams for the 785 kit. 250 dollar core charge. i wouldn't pay a dime over 250.

Can't tell you the differance but I can tell you that the PBR cams make a huge differance. They definitely openned her up. Jets went from 142/145 to 152/158. Unless your going with high comp or have a game plan for getting past our rev limiters you won't need springs.

You're right about the CDI. It's the next step in my gamebook. If an "unlimiter" or CDI replacement doesn't come out in the next month or so, I'm going with a flywheel key from PBR.

Good Luck- I'm sure you'll be happy either way.

Before you get a flywheel key from PBR you should call Dale at Dalton 902-897-3333 and see what one would cost from him. It seem as if everything PBR gets from other manufactures and puts their name on the price goes does a huge jump along with it! I know the advanced keys are coming from the snowmobile industry, I believe the one I have is from a Suzuki sled!

Can't imagine it being less, but I'll give Dale a call. Thanks.

No ones cams come even close to mine, but they will not work with a stock or hi-comp piston. My cams have almost a 400 lift and 40 degrees longer duration than the WEB/PBR cams (which are the same even if they say there not) Yes poeple put there names on things and raise the price. Mike is not a engine builder he sells others products and put his name on it. I charge for my R&D time and by skill in building the best product for the application(you get what you pay for).

Mickey - I'm sure you have great products & are obviously proud of them. You should stick to marketing those products & keep comments about other products to yourself unless you can backup your BS.
