Pictures - Dalton Overdrive cover & adjustable weights
#1
Here's the Dalton Overdrive Cover. Its extremely light and well-made.
Here are the adjustable weights and bushings. These weights give you dozens of different combinations and will enable stiffer springs to be used. I've already put the HPD plain back in to run with the weights.
The weather has been so bad around here for the last month and a half that I haven't even had a chance to test them yet. We've also got a couple of Dalton's springs to try in my brother's V, but it may not be any time soon as we're expecting even more snow this weekend. I'm going to try to get our V's together with a Banshee and a 440ex and do some comparisons if the weather ever breaks.
If anyone has any questions about how to change the weights, here are some pictures:

Kevin, Great info! I installed the weights and the blue spring. Like you, the weather here has been too bad to try it out. What kind of improvements would I see with the new Overdrive Cover?

The Dalton weights are 58 gram compared to the stock 56 I believe.
You could use 2 of the Daltons and 2 of the stockers, 2 of the Daltons with 1 bushing along wiht 2 with no bushings, etc., etc. There are many different combinations you could get with just one set of weights.
The cover is quite a bit lighter than stock, same principle as lightening a flywheel, lets the revs build quicker and its supposed to add a couple MPH on top.

The Dalton weights do not come with the rivits. They can be purchased from any Yamaha dealer as the yami rivits are what the holes were designed for. This makes the weights very adjustable as to where and when you want the clutch to shift out. I got my face plate machines to the Dalton specs as well.
If you order the entire clutch kit, do you get rivits??
