Hey MentalState,
Is changing the primary spring all you need to do or would you reccomend the whole kit with weights etc? Your V with the tracks and skis is AWESOME!!!!!

what is the difference between the pink spring vs the stock spring? i dont want a high engagement point.what benefit does this spring give? i put the red spring in my 650 and didnt like the high engagment.i want a spring that will allow you to rock crawl.so i like a low rpm spring,so would it be better to stick with the stock spring?

With stock exhaust, a lot of people are running the EPI pink spring with two more spacers/shims.

The pink spring has a Zero stall (engagement) rate, as does the stock spring. The pink spring gives a higher shiftout. Adding the shims will slightly increase both.

How do you like your DMC exhaust. I just added the FMF power bomb to mine. I have not ridden very hard yet, but it seems have a little more power. I have not checked out my plugs to see how close my jetting is. I did what the manuel said so I guess I am close to where I need to be. I think I will try new clutch springs next. Do you recommend pink or red? Please reply with any info.

Red spring has a stall rating of 37, compared to the stock, and the pink, with a stall rating of 0 (zero)

Drag racers seem to like a higher stall rating, it engages at a higher rpm, therefore having a less chance of wheelying out of the hole.
