Mike W,
Do a search at the nation and you will find a long thread started by n2xlr8n (entitled P650/700 stuff I've "picked up"). Steve (n2xlr8n) did this mod about a month ago and this thread goes into some of the procedure/tools required.

Happy trails...

my site click ignition and find degreeing a cam by crane imagine your cranshaft on the side where your pull start is or should be if you don't have one and thats where your degree wheel, you are gonna need, goes. your degree guage will mount on your head where your rocker arms are or in your spark plug hole so you can find when your piston is perfectly top dead center. all the instructions are basicly the same on 4 stroke engines cars, bikes.quads and so on.

Well, it warmed up enough, that I got the chance to take my FST 750cc kit equiped Prairie out for some top speed runs... 69 mph, in a 1/4 mile, on our muddy gravel road... not too bad for a 700 + lb quad & 260 lb rider... with a little tuning to the Dial-a-jet, maybe I can get over that 70 mph mark... the best I could do before the 750cc kit was 56-58 mph... It was bothering me, that I forgot to look at the tach, at top speed... so I went out again... 8400 + rpm... I didn't hit the hard rev limit, but I think with some timing advance, I'll hit the "hard wall"... this was a test I wanted to do to see if putting a flywheel timing key in would help me... at this point, I'm so close to the hard rev limit, ( 50 rpm ), that I will need the CDI, with the raised rev limit, to get any more top speed out of my machine... though it will help with acceration, if Dyna comes out with the CDI as stated, with the higher rev limit & timing advance, with this installed, the only quad out there faster, will be Ozzy's ( bad joke... 150 mph... LOL... )
