How many miles are you all getting out of a belt? so fay i have 900 miles on mine never adjusted and its not sliping on take off yet. tomorrow i am gonna adjust it and install the black spring so maby i can get another 900 out of it. If i were to install a NEW belt with a black spring about how many miles can i expect out of it?

I have 2000 miles on mine and it's still going strong, no slippage. I have had the black spring the whole time and have ran in with no shim for the last 1000 miles.

 

I say 4000km to 6000km on average. Anything over 6k I replace it because it was in there long enough.

 

I got 2800 out of mine.. Still could of kept using it (no visible signs of damage) but it was making to many noises & had no shim in at all..

 

I got 1700 miles out of mine with the black spring. I adjusted the belt 3 times before I ran out of shims. When I removed the old belt it was in bad shape. Cracked areas and belt strings hanging off.
