Default Dial a jet users..............

I will go run it tommorow and see if it get's worse or better when the choke is applied. I opened up the lowboy vent thunder products sells and it didn't get any better, which leads me to belive that i am still to lean on the top end.

Mikey,

I am gonna install the stock main jets (138f 142r kehin jets) maybe tommorow if i get time, got the jets just gotta get the time. It does seem as though going lower in jet size isn't helping. (Droped one full jet size and nothing.) I also tried to adjust the dial a jet leaner and richer with little or no results. I did read on page 12 that no results while adjusting the dial a jet you are to rich, could this hold true if you are to lean also??? I thought the dial a jet was supposed to richen up all the circuts. The low end has really come alive!! And the mid range is awsome up to about 1/2 to 3/4 throttle.

I will post my results when i get some time to work with the p. If anybody else has any suggestions or comments please post them!!

Thanks in advance 2003650

I notice no difference in mine with the daj det in the middle or either one richer setting. I am not sure if I am jetted properly. It seems to run fine, but backfires when I let off from wot.

Rutwad,
Mine also backfires occasionally when I let off of WOT with the DAJ adjusted in the middle. I am thinking about turning the idle mixture screws out about 1/2 turn to see if that stops the backfiring.

Happy trails...

If you have an airbox cover. Take it off. She's begging for more air.

you need the dyna jet snorkle kit for each carb on your machine. this will solve the problem. when you put the lid on the airbox and start riding it is no longer atmospheric condition in box. That is why it will work with lid off. trust me buy two snorkle kits from dyna and install. will solve problem for sure.
