guys i have a 250 tb and just got the head milled and my friend the has the bayou 220 really likes how much power it gave mine and wanted to do his how much can u take off saftly??

tell him he will have to check the piston to valve clearance. pull the head and place modeling clay on top of the piston reinstall the head pull yhe spark plug and turn the motor over by hand and then check the clay and that should tell him how much clearance he has and how much you can safley remove.

20 thou shouldn't hurt anything, especially since that isn't a real high performance motor. How much did you take off of yours?

 

i only toke 25 thousanths off of my trail blazer and we both notcied a big gain from it ( they said on the polaris forum that all the farther you want to go to be safe.)

hmm could we even take off 25 or 30 im new to shaving heads on 4 strokes ( such as valve clearance)
