Default P700 module test results

Shotgun,
I was under the impression that our OEM plugs (whatever brand that is) are resistor type plugs that will work fine with the Dyna cdi. Is that not true?

Happy trails...

Another question - can anyone explain why the earliest lower frequency versions of the modules caused a loss of power on the top end?

this subject really kills me, lol im not going to get in a pissing match in the kawi forum.lol mike penland which knows p700 inside and out is a good friend of mine and is in our atv club made this comment on the module. he was so impress with highlifters module he is ordering them in quanity from them. the penland brothers carried their bikes to the dyno at highlifter and and did some testing. i find that pretty legit, specially since he went from dg now to highlifter module. just me 2 cents.

Mudcon, that is basically a celebrity endorsement. It was a very wise move on HL's part. Howerver, it doesn't really tell us if the HL module does anything that the others don't. So, it really isn't very good data.

According to the tests, the HL module does work. Also, according to the tests it doesn't work any different than the other modules.

Mudcon, this post is a fact post. I don't think you are asking for trouble. I also think you aren't going to be put down by the readers of this topic. People reading this topic are solely interested in FACTS and truth.

If you think we are wrong, speak up. This subject is very important and we need to get to the bottom of it.

I think I have read enough of Prairie633' posts to trust his test results. However, I would be happier if more than one person did the same test and confirmed his results. I would be really happy if they did not use either of the modules that Prairi633 has, just to make sure. I would be happy to do it now that the snow is gone. I think Newbeetle would be a good candidate if we could get him to try the modules on a stocker. However, maybe his built 750 would be a good test.
