Get someone who knows alot about ATV to look at it with you. Guy amy have ridden it only 4 times but could have rolled it or done other damage and repaired it so he could sell it. Look it over real good if it is nice and a low mile unit as claimed that sounds like a good price to me. If he is starting there he might come down to 4500. Just a thought. Good luck I want one bad dealling with funding issues though. I really need to be rich

I just went and looked at it....plastic is looks pretty scratched up, it was dusty where it hasn't been ridden much and he keeps it at his work at a Chevy garage.
The tires still have the spikes on the edges and the rubber flap down the middle seam on the tires.
Belly skid shows a few scratches, the A-arms show a few more scratches but no big dents or dings.
The front bumper has the paint worn off from where the guy hauled it a couple of times in an S-10 and it rubbed on the truck.
The rear bumper is pretty scratched.....guy said the guy he bought it from had wheelied it and it dumped off the back. (these things have THAT much torque???)
Under the seat looked almost brand new, there was still marking paint on the brake discs---where the disc if held on
No mud caked up under it or up around the top of the engine, the back of the radiator had a good bit of mud on it.
Forgot to check the oil but the coolant looked clean and was about halfway between min and max lines.
I'm at the point now of all I have to do is call the bank.......should I?

it sounds that it was been wrecked b4 but not a bad wreck. these things are really that powerful, and yes they can throw u off. mine threw me off and i weight 300 pounds. these are nice bikes if i were u and i bought it i would do all the maintance over again cause there is no telling if or when it was been changed.

If you like it after you ride it, and if you have never ridden one be careful about cracking the throttle all the way and your wieght forward until you get a feel for the way the power hits. Wipe the grin off your face before you start talking to him about price keep looking at the scratches on the grab bar and the front. While you ask him about if there was anything broke that had to be replaced when the gut flipped it backwards. Then while rubbing the scratches try to bring the price down. I still think he will come down most people ask for a couple hundred more than what their bottom dollar is. I think if there was no major damge when it was wrecked then $4500 sounds like a good price to me.

Low retail according to the NADA book is 4145 high is 5455. Which means he is at about $200 under the middle ground of $4800 so I would look at the fact he came down 350 and decide if you believe it is a low hour ride. Have to decide if your going to live with the scratches or replace stuff. Price of 4600 is better than the 4950. Go with your gut at this point price is probably fair. if you feel good about it jump on it.
