Anyone who thinks that the V-Force has an insufficient amount of low end torque needs to get off the crack pipe and start tapping into the other 90% of their brain they're obviously not using. A 500+ lb machine can't possibly beat both the Raptor and the DS in 0 to 30 acceleration if it is lacking in the bottom-end department. I don't know how this could remain unclear to some people. What part of "fastest 0 to 30" don't you understand?

I think the ATV "journalists" graduated from the Jayson Blair school of "when in doubt just make $hit up."

Strangely, that article sort of reinforced my decision to buy a V. Even though the V wasn't pronounced the "winner," they never really said anything bad about it. (The article doesn't really pick a "winner," anyway.) On the other hand, about all they said about the DS was that it "isn't as bad as last year's model." Since I'm 6'4" (about 200lbs), I never really seriously considered anything besides a V or a DS. The mini-quads were sort of appealing because of their MX-ish dimensions, but I wanted to be able to ride for long distances without damaging body parts.

I just wanted a sweet trail cruiser and have no need for a 'ute quad (around the house, etc.). Even though I prefer manual transmission cars, there is enough stuff to keep my undivided attention while trail riding that I consider the lack of worrying about gear selection a bonus. Given my size, riding conditions, auto-trans preference and lack of utility needs, the V was an absolutely perfect quad for me.
I'm new here (first post) and this is sort of the dilemma I'm in. I'm a big guy (6'2" 260 lbs) and I was looking at the V-Force. Even though I enjoy shifting dirt bikes, and street bikes, I was just thinking that it would be nice to not have to worry about shifting for once. Also, I thought the size of the V-Force was nice.

I'm assuming I won't be making a mistake buying a V-Force? Should I be looking at a few other things as well?
