Default ATV ACTION article

Hey guys,

I just finished reading the latest ATV action artile comparing the V Force, Raptor, Predator and DS 650 with factory mods. They absolutely hate the V Force and DS 650. Barely anything good to say about either. I usually laugh these articles off, but this one bothered me. They made it out to seem like the V Force was not even competitive in fast trail riding with the Raptor. I won both and I think they are very close. The even said that the V Force lacks low end power...WHAT???? It seems as if they have thier minds made up that they will hate it before they ride it.

Anyway, I wanted to vent a little and ask for fellow V Forcers to let me know how you feel. Don't get me wrong, the Raptor is awesome or I wouldn't have bought one, but they make it sound like the V Force should be compared to Warriors and 300EX's rather than Raptors and Predators.

The simple fact that they got it so wrong about low end power (no question V-Force has the most) shows the whole article for what it is... not fit to wipe your a$$ with.

GNCC results - read them - understand them - become a belie"V"er.

The more I think about it the more pissed off I get. It's one thing to be properly critical of all the pros and cons of various quads when conducting a shoot out, but to flat out tell a damn LIE like the V doesn't have enough low end power... what the bloody hell are they thinking? Those jackasses need to get off the crack pipe and start using the other half of their tiny brain.

I raced a stock raptor and a DS-650 Baja X up and down the sand highway at PISMO all day two weeks ago (with my stock spring no less) and I got the hole shot and early lead EVERY STINKING TIME... and I was the least experienced rider. They couldn't catch me until about 30 mph and then the DS flew past. 0 to 30 it was no contest... in a short drag the V can't be touched by a raptor or a DS (sorry there was no predator available for testing ).

I'm talking stock for stock so you raptor pipers don't need to get your panties in a bunch I know that you can pipe and jet the holy crap out of a raptor but that's not what we're talking about.

ATV Action - expensive toilet tissue - stick with Charmin and then the'll go out of business.

You remember that EVERYTIME the PRAIRIE "WINS" the shootouts because of how "fast" it is and nothing else! But hey man I agree they are pure BS!!!

The reason they say the V-Force doesnt have any low-end power is because they don't believe in Automatic Transmissions, I absolutely LOVE mine on my Grizz but my personal preference for "sport" quads would be manual all the way!!! Thats just me, the auto of the V-Force suits others VERY well!! They are AUTO haters except on Utility or 4x4 quads!!! To bad they don't have the YFZ450 or TRX450R in the mix to do the trail and drag races, would be interesting to see the results of that shootout!!

Never riden a Vforce, but from all the chatter on here about them seems to be a good quad with a loyal following... Kinda wish my dinky bayou questions would get more respones, as they seem to be lost in the flood of how bad a$$ my vforce is.... guess ill just hafta to buy a Vforce ....... Over the years I've noticed that the mags also hate Polaris scramblers. Comes down to the auto trans and the weight, they can't get around those issues far enough to see results. Very poor journalism, if you ask me.

The test riders are always 160-170 lbs. and they don't like big quads PERIOD. The DS650 has been the fastest and best suspended stock quad for the last 4 years and it always gets reemed in the shootouts. Maybe they'll do a shootout one day with all 200+ lb. riders and call it "The Men's Sport Quad Shootout".
