thats how they make money. you do a reveiw on my quad (favorable of course) and i'll take a couple ad spots in your mag. the better the reveiw the more ads i pay for. just like politicians you give me bribes, i mean donations and i'll well you get my drift.

The DS650 has been the fastest and best suspended stock quad for the last 4 years and it always gets reemed in the shootouts. Maybe they'll do a shootout one day with all 200+ lb. riders and call it "The Men's Sport Quad Shootout".

You hit it DEAD on the MONEY. They are always X Racers that they get to test them. Have you ever noticed that they always say they have Novice riders test them too, but you never get to hear their opinions?
I don't tend to give these shootouts too much credit, I simply read them and take the information that is meaningful to me, and disregard the info that is meaningless to me. It's all a matter of interpretation. We all know what the magazine is going to say even before we read it. It's predictable. The Bomb guys have realized this along time ago and just don't give a D*m anymore. But, even the Modded Raptor guys know better than to mess with a Modded DS.
We need to rethink this whole situation. Think about it, the best part of it is, that when these guppies that read the Shootouts and believe all the dribble they read, actually come across one of us with a few mods as simple as Duals and a Spring, and get their butts handed to them, the surprised look on their face, is half the fun of it. Besides, I like all of the pretty pictures in the magazines.

Thats what he always says. Its his only argument half of the time. We are just used to it now and kind of ignore it. He has some decent input when it doesnt have to do with comparing a yamaha he owns to another quad that he doesnt.

TellicoGrizz660,
As usual, you miss the point completely. What Tim Farr, Cory Elis or any other past, present or future pro can do on a given quad, doesn't amount to a hill of beans as far as 99.9% of the quad riding public looking for in a new ATV is concerned. Therefor in the REAL World, these shootouts conducted with X Pro riders don't carry too much credability. That's why I just look at the Pictures.
Lets see, how will he turn this statement into an opportunity to rip on the P700? You know it's coming!

You remember that EVERYTIME the PRAIRIE "WINS" the shootouts because of how "fast" it is and nothing else! But hey man I agree they are pure BS!!!
Originally posted by: flashturboThe simple fact that they got it so wrong about low end power (no question V-Force has the most) shows the whole article for what it is... not fit to wipe your a$$ with. GNCC results - read them - understand them - become a belie"V"er.

No Low end thats got to be one of the better jokes I've heard In the Atv world, hammer the throddle and stock there is a slight pause, but then you better hold on for life or you will be on your ***, seen it havent experienced it, I personally dont own a V but my ridin partner just got one a week or so ago, I cant stay off it whenever I go I need to take it for a burn, I would Rather still have my P700, But damn That V700 runs, Ever think ATV action Is owned by the shootout winner?? That Is the only Logical reason I can figure for such a review
