V-Force dual problem
#1
ok i posted awhile back about jetting trouble and sorta found a half assed fix. jetted 145 front 148 rear proped the air box open a crack bike ran awsome well took it into the dealer to get serviced and get the jetting fine tuned. they called me today told me bike is done i asked how did you end up with the jetting they tell me they went back to factory jetting of 135 front 140 rear and it runs great. there is no way this can be. please is there anything i can do i have not been up to pick my bike up but i know for sure that it cant run good on facotry jets could they have shimmed the needle to make it run or what. id hate to get this bike out ridding and have it blow cuz its lean... im thinking about modding the airbox cuz i loved the performance with how i had it im thinking of drilling the airbox lid and installing vents like the pop in vents that the banshee's get with the toomey kits does anyone know if this would work. im thinking id have to play with how many vents to put in till it runs real nice again. anyone got any good starting points...

Rkhard, the 145 and 148 jets are correct thats what HMF should have sent you or recomended, I had the same jets and four half inch holes in the air box lid, two on each side and I had the kawie dealer here in vegas do the jetting. We sit at 2300 foot elevation, put the bike in neutral and rev it to 3/4 to full throttle and then back of all the way, if the bike starts backfiring your to lean, only drill one or two holes at a time, , you can always tape a hole up. This is a personal opinion of course.
PS,
hmf also recomended that the neeedle be shimmed with one washer, which I never did, just be careful about running it lean.
