Default new black spring

yesterday I went ahead and started on putting in the new secondary black spring. I used atvpower to guide me through the job. i just wanted to add a couple toughts if anybody else is going to tackle this job. Use a impact gun to remove the 27mm nutt of the secondary spring. I found it hard to wrench down the nyroc tool bc the end cap would slide off under the pressure so i cut a piece of pvc pipe that fit on the inside to make the walls extra strong. This got it done. atvpower

Another way is to sand the bottom of the pvc and it will quit slipping off.

Default new black spring

I just did the black spring mod last week as well. I used neither of the tools recommended. I used 2 pistons from an old motor laying around and bolted the conrods together making a good handle and pushed down on the spring while my buddy put the circlip back on. Worked great. A little backwoods ingenuity i guess, but it worked!
